摘要

1. Existing data are unable to support water quality criteria for iron-cyanide complexes 2. All evidence indicates toxicity associated with iron-cyanide complexes is due to free cyanide 3. The ability to accurately measure free cyanide in surface water and groundwater is essential for quantifying potential ecological risks. 4. Expect additional scrutiny regarding groundwater/surface water interactions 5. The ecological relevance of photo-decomposition has not been demonstrated in the environment 6. Based on water quality characteristics (e.g., turbidity, water depth, dilution), surface water toxicity associated with iron-cyanide complexes in groundwater is unlikely at MGP sites.
