In order to widely spread of the PEFC, it is essential to decrease the loading amount of the current high-cost Pt catalyst and increase the electrocatalytic activity for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). In order to design the high performance and low-cost cathode catalysts, in this study, the Ni core - Pt shell (Ni@Pt) nanoparticles were electrochemically prepared and their electrocatalytic activities for ORR were investigated. We can prepare the Ni@Pt nanoparticle, which shows higher electrocatalytic activity for ORR than the polycrystalline Pt.
