Investigation and prospect for VAV AC system application in Shanghai

摘要

VAV AC system which features comfort and energy saving has been widely applied in high-class office buildings of North America and Japan. It has been designed for some high-class buildings since mid of 1990's in Shanghai and now the systems used in these office buildings are being put into operation one after another. As they are the first batch of VAV AC systems used in Shanghai, the persons of the same occupation have always paid close attention to them. So, the author has investigated, classified the part of the projects with VAV system, and made a detailed analysis and summation on the general situation, system characteristics, air distribution, air quality, duct design, noise control, cooling and heating source, water system and automatic control etc. of each building's VAV AC system in order to approach the development trend of VAV system in China.
