摘要

Much of the focus in hybrid vehicle development is in the electrical power transmission area which is of great importance. The efficiency gains of these systems will be a common measure for the vehicle designs. The NASA--Ohio Hybrid Bus Project will be used as a basis for experience and comparison. The paper will conclude with a discussion on the efficiencies of parallel and series hybrid drive systems. Generalizations will be made on where each drive systems fits into actual applications.
