Simultaneous monitoring of O{sub}2, CO{sub}2 and pH using a 200μm optical imaging fiber

A multi-analyte sensor has been prepared that allows O{sub}2, CO{sub}2 and pH to be monitored simultaneously with rapid response to all three analytes. The sensor is fabricated by photodepositing analyte-sensitive polymer matrices on the distal surface of an imaging fiber. The array shows sensitivity to pH in the range 5.0 - 8.0, CO{sub}2 from 0 - 15% and O{sub}2 from 0 - 100%.
