Notched steel girder end have been treated with ribbed splice plate reinforcement. However It is hard to be said that the conventional reinforcement method is not always perfect in order to have the sufficient conditions with limited space on the actual bridge or there is the possibility of progressing crack after the conventional reinforcement. In this study, fatigue behaviour of steel plate post-tension reinforcement of notched steel girder end is investigated through the fatigue tests, as well as it is expected that the dimension of reinforcement plate is supplemented and preventing fatigue crack propagation to the web by compressive stress.
