摘要

This paper introduces an expert system building tool for arc welding procedure -QHWEST and describes mainly the development techniques of the system. QHWEST offers comprehensive machine learning services for the building of specific expert systems. It can be used for generation of welding procedure specifications(WPS's) based on welding procedure qualification records ( PQR's), design of arc welding procedures and management of PQR database. The system is of good generality and openness property. A series of knowledge representation forms have been adopted and a new method --the modeled rule method- - has been put forward by the author.' Many advanced inference control strategies and reasoning methods are used comprehensively. The relativity - based dynamic synthetic assessment model is created for fuzzy reasoning and a meta rule-based multi-layer cubic matching model is set up for complicated frame-based inference. A database system is integrated. Other techniques such as natural language understanding and object-oriented programming are also applied in the system.
