A set of laboratory experiments of surface elevation, water velocity, void fraction and bubble diameter distribution were conducted for regular wave and irregular wave breaking on a slope. Air bubble, wave height and velocity were measured with Dual-tip void probe (DVP), wave gauge and ADV. the cross-shore distribution of void fraction and bubble diameter were compared both regular and irregular wave experiments. The relationships between air bubbles and wave statistics were examined for modeling of the phase flow in the surf zone.
