Structural Vibration Control Using 'Smart' Materials

The seismic control techniques for civil engineering structures, and developments of smart materials for vibration control are be discussed in the lecture. The analytical and numerical techniques adopted for the design of distributed sensors/actuators using piezoelectric materials are illustrated.
