Management of the lesser known yield reducing bacteria of potato rhizosphere

This study amined at isolating beneficial bacteria for potato rhizosphere from a collection of 71 bacterial isolated of its (cv. Kufri Bahar) rhizosphere. The results pointed to increment in the number of treatments (cultures) during screening of 71 isolates, showing reduced yields (as compared to control) towards maturity than at the earlier stages. This observation confirms to results of 2 years field experiments yield increases maximum till 60 days of plant growth only. The beneficial isolates thus obtained can be used in managing the yield reducing bacteria.
