Various isolates of Trichoderma species-group, Gliocladium virens and Laetisaria arvalis were evaluated for their antagonist potentiality and abilities to control the stem canker & die-back (Botryodiplodia theobromae), cutting rot (Fusarium solani) and collar rot (Phoma sorghina) disease in mulberry nurseries. An isolate of T. pseudokoningii was found to control the diseases most effectively which resulted in an increase of sapling survivability up to 843%, as against 59.7 % in diseased control, besides enhancing the sapling growth significantly. A biofungicide using T. pseudokoningii has been formulated and named as NURSERY-GUARD.
