摘要

Understanding the factors affecting rate constants for electron transfer reactions at liquid-liquid interfaces continues to be a challenge.Recent studies for certain reactions appear to be reasonably consistent with theoretical predictions,while in other cases even the predicted dependence of rate constant on driving force is not observed.The redox reactivity for the aqueous Fe(III)/Fe(II) couple in both homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions has been the subject of many past experimental and theoretical studies.Therefore,it seemed appropriate to investigate the reactivity for this couple at liquid-liquid interfaces.
