摘要

The corrosion resistance of AA 2024-T3 is much lower than that of pure aluminum.This is mainly due to the presence of constituent particles on the surface and to replated elemental copper.In order to inhibit corrosion in aircraft applications,AA 2024-T3 is usually chromate conversion coated before organic coatings are applied.
