Electrochemical capacitors based on RuO_2 or IrO_2 are of interest due to their higher specific capacitance,high conductivity and good reversibility.Amorphous RuO_2 centre dot xH_2O prepared by a sol-gel method showed a maximum capacitance of about 768 F/g.To obtain commercial feasibility,Miller el.al prepared RuO_2/Carbon aerogel electrode by chemical vapor impregnation.
