New solutions when designing the non-contact dry gas seals for centrifugal compressors

The results of the design computation of the non-contact dry gas seal development in which the permanent magnets are used for initial gap forming are presented in this paper. The engineering methods of the basic seal dimensions choice aredescribed by the particular example. The working rings strength and dynamic stability estimation has been carried out with use of the seal static and dynamic models.
