In this paper, we propose the Stream Relay Scheme (SRS), which schedules multiple viewer's requests with the same stream retrieval. The SRS utilizes the client's buffer space to reduce the server's buffer consumption and stream capacity. The server in our model does not simply serve the request but checks if it is being viewed on other client's display station. If it is being played back at one of the other client's site, then the server can forward the requested data segments to the newly requested viewer. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy, it is compared to the Batching technique through the simulations over a wide range of the viewer requests. The proposed strategy ahs shown better performance over the initial latency and the server throughput.
