摘要

Present trends in the oil refining industry require refiners to make a greater effort to control the emission of those pollutants which are likely to affect biodiversity. In this paper we develop a dynamic simulation model of the environment to estimate the quality of air and water, the level of noise and the quality of life that result from different strategies within the refinery. By measuring the emission of SO{sub}x and NO{sub}x and with indexes about the economic activity we attempt to identify and establish corrective measures that will allow growth, with a minimum effect on the ecological balance.
