The Anti-Angiogenesis Effect of Shark Cartilage Extract

摘要

Shark cartilage extract made in this laboratory, referred to SEC, was used to investigate the anti-angio-genesis effect on chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM), type IV collagenase and ECV-304 cell line. The results have shown that SCE significantly inhibits growth of blood vessels and its possible way includes: (1) inhibits the enzymatic degradation activity of collagenase IV; (2) inhibits the proliferation of vessel endothelial cell.
