Considerable advances have been made recently to reduce the cost of gathering meteorological and oceanographic data from coastal waters, especially for meteorological and oceanographic parameters such as wind speed and wave height. These advanceshave not compromised the technical quality of the data and have opened up the ability for coastal engineers and marine scientists to rely more on measured data for model input and development of engineering design criteria. With the innovative productsbeing developed by Axys Environmental Systems (AXYS) collecting essential marine-related data is now easy and economically feasible.
