Simulation of global information infrastructures and resource management for next generation aerospace-force operations

摘要

A fundamental issue for military planners is how to describe the Internet so as to predict its behavior under various conflict scenarios.An unpredictable Internet would certainly contribute to the "fog of uncertainty" that inevitably accompanies command and control operations.In this paper we escribe ongoing research that is focused upon modeling the Internet and simulating its behavior,including the physical layer.The objective is to demonstrate the feasibility of producing a global Network Simulator (GNS) for Air Force C41SR operations,focusing on the Internet for Aerospace foce Operations within the Global Grid.
