Deposit inside the diesel injector nozzle hole decreases performance of diesel engines. The nozzle hole deposit formation is investigated by the test rig in which deposit formation can be accelerated at various injection pressures, injection durations and nozzle tip temperatures. Motor revolutions are varied to obtain the different time between injections. Effects of deposition in nozzle hole on injection rate and spray characteristics are studied by Bosch method and Constant Volume Chamber with high speed video camera, respectively. The results show effective factors which cause nozzle hole deposit.
