Development of MZR 1.3/1.5L Gasoline Engine

The MZR 1.3/1.5L is the newly developed 14 engine which embodies the Mazda's brand message "Zoom-Zoom", the love of motion, and is installed in the New Demio as the second of the' MZR', the Mazda 's new generation engine series, following the MZR 2.0/2.3L engine mounted in the Atenza. In order to support the Fun-to-Drive spirit of the Mazda's DNA, such targets have been achieved as BIC(Best In Class) torque especially in the practical range, pleasant engine sound, Eco-friendly performance which meets the approval of' Excellent-Low emission vehicle', and outstanding reliability.
