Transfer Function Measurement Method supposing combustion, has been developed in order to reduce radiation noise from Cylinder Block This method enables to find the frequency band and the zones of Block to be improved. Therefore, a simplified FEM model focusing on these points, leads low noise and lightweight specifications of the Block The fabricated prototype Block has been proved to be less noisy and lightweight by experiment, as expected.
