摘要

For Metal V-belt type CVT, the coefficient of friction between blocks and a pulley is thought to be constant. However, the coefficient of friction is affected by normal force, slip velocity and lubricating condition. In this paper, frictional characteristics of CVT fluid was studied by using a CVT testing machine and a friction testing apparatus. Then, the frictional characteristics of CVT fluid were revealed at various conditions. The frictional characteristics in the radial direction are different from those in the tangential direction. From the present study, an importance for frictional characteristics of CVT fluid varying with respect to sliding conditions, is strongly emphasized.
