Predicting Analysis of H-point in automobile seat design by CAE

摘要

In the design of automobile seat, the quantitative predetermination of H-point is the important item. The mechanical characteristics on urethane seat pads have nonlinear elasticity and large deflection. Therefore, it seems that it is difficult to predict the H-point precisely by CAE. This study reports the methods of the calculation by Finite Element Method. It is shown for the calculation results to be in good agreement with experimental data.
