The form forming method was studied with much attention to shape freezing properties, working load and observation of forming process by comparing with V-bending process. The results obtained in this study were as follows. (1) Since the push bending was worked effectively on form forming process, working load on form forming was lower than that of V-bending. Form forming load did not depend on tensile strength of steel sheets because of push bending effects. (2) Form forming method was suitable for press working of high tensile steel sheets. The steel sheets were formed in compressive stress condition due to the push bending. (3) The push bending effects on form forming process was estimated by measuring hardness of sheet cross section after press working. The work-hardening of formed sheets could be the powerful tool of clarifying the press forming process.
