摘要

This paper presents clarifying the spray characteristics of the staggered layout nozzle. This nozzle has 8 main holes and 4 sub holes. They differ from hole-diameter and spray angle. According to such extraordinary shape, the spray characteristics vary from the conventional types. Turbulence and cavitation are caused in sac volume and holes for complex structure inside nozzle. In order to investigate these phenomena affected spray behavior, magnified transparent nozzle was apply to the experiment and visualize nozzle internal flow. Comparing the real case with the model case, there were significant relationships with the internal flow and the spray characteristics.
