The power module is the most effective factor in improving the durability of a motor driving inverter. Two methods of applying non-insulated technology to a high-voltage inverter system were attempted. One approach was to reduce the thermal resistance of the silicone insulation sheet by using fluorine grease. The other was to reduce the stress in the solder joints by using a small Cu-Mo plate. As a result, a non-insulated packaging technology has been developed that applied to Fuel Cell Vehicles with the best balance between thermal resistance and durability.
