摘要

The results of field investigation on the performance of a natural ventilation system combined with solar chimney and cool pit introduced into a university building in Kitakyushu city are described. In the third year after school opening, natural ventilation was observed during the hours of 61% of cooling period. The total amount of cooling under natural ventilation conditions was 58.9GJ at the measured block of the building with 4,392m{sup}2 of floor area. It was confirmed that heat exchange performance of cool pit was not lowered after three years' operation.
