A method of estimating the traffic condition by a two points observation model applying the Prony's method

摘要

This study proposes a method of estimating the traffic condition (passage time, travelling lane, type of a car and its velocity) from instantaneous values of the road traffic noise obtained in two observation points, applying the Prony's method. Such a method effectively uses not only peak timings of unit-pattern but also forms of unit-pattern in analysis. The validity and usefulness are examined by applying it to the simulation experiment result and actually observed data.
