It is significant to identify those factors that affect the expert's skillful performance in order to design a user-friendly automated system and/or a naturalistic human-machine interface. For this purpose, we'll apply Brunswik's Lens Model framework to the analysis of human-machine interactions as an ecological approach. This paper discusses the results of Lens-Model-Analysis in the task of our simulated ship navigation.
