A slotted waveguide planar array antenna using partially-parallel feeding with travelling-wave excitation is developed in the millimeter-wave band. Travelling-wave excitation is more effective for low loss and simple structure than parallel feeding. However, array antennas with travelling-wave excitation essentially possess a significant problem of long line effect which degrades gain due to beam shift for frequency change [1]-[4]. We propose the way to reduce the gain degradation, thus, partially-parallel feeding system is developed. Measured performance of the developed antenna is discussed in this paper.
