摘要

This paper analyze a kind of microwave oscillator designed with three-step second-type phase lock loop. The phase model and the phase noise transfer model for the oscillator has been setup. The dynamic simulation tool-SIMULINK is used to analyze the performance of the oscillator, especially the eharacteristic of phase noise and the characeristic of enter-lock bandwidth. The results got have been compared to the performance of the oscillator using the traditional two-step second-type phase lock loop. It shows that the using of the three-step second-type phase lock loop in the oscillator has improved the performance of oscillator. In addition, the program developed in the paper can also be used in the oscillator design whenever the CAD technology is applied.
