Distance Technologies in post Graduate Engineering Education

Development of the world system of distance education during last ten years has shown that distance education technologies are used more effectively in such fields as humanities, economy, computer software, than in engineering eduction. There are several reasons of such situation. The first one is a necessity of more complex language to provide information exchange between a student and a teacher(or teachign software). It has to include a usual text, formulae, graphs and pictures in the same file. The second one is a demand of educational standards to provide laboratory courses, that are necessary for engineering education. It has been done a lot to overcome these difficulties [1,2], but so far distance technologies can provide only a part of undergraduate engineering education.
