The on-board wide-aperture noise generator(OWNG) is a part of the radiomete calibration system of the satellite. In the case being consider the procedure of calibration against the OWNG is the following: the beam from a rotating parabolic antenna reflected by the parabolic reflector of the calibration system falls on the aperture of the OWNG in the vicinity of a focal plane of this reflector.
