Zero Discharge Metal Finishing Using Combined Microfiltration Reverse Osmosis

A manufacturer of electronic connectors uses carbon composite membrane filtration to recycle aqueous degreasers. Eighty to 90 percent or more of the rinsewater following the degreaser is recycled using reverse osmosis. Use of the membrane technology allows the manufacturer to operate in an area having stringent regulations regarding wastewater discharge.
