Semicrystalline,polymeric materials consist usually of metastable aggregates of strongly coupled microphases or nanophases with their constituent,micrometerlong,flexible molecules traversing multiple phase domains.Some 40 years ago it was established that well-formed crystals are often lamellar weith a thickness of only about 10 nm.Between these lamellae one can find the remaining amorphous phase with even smaller dimensions.
