The investigations on many Co/X multilayers by NMR have shown how the structure of multilayers could be correlated with their magnetic properties such as magnetization profile at the interfaces or the magnetic stiffness in various parts of the artificial structures. In summary, because they contribute to the NMR spectrum at different frequencies, different regions of the magnetic layers can be selected and their magnetic properties can be separately probed.
