STRATEGY FOR INVESTIGATIONS AND REMEDIATION OF A POLLUTED NORWEGIAN NAVAL BASE

In 1990-91, the Norwegian Defence Construction Service in co-operation with the State Pollution Control began a survey of military facilities on behalf of the Norwegian Defence Forces. The purpose of this survey was to assess the kinds of hazardous waste produced by various military units, and to locate waste disposal sites and areas of polluted ground.
