A polluted soil remediation apparatus comprising atreatment tank in which pollutants degradable withlight irradiation in the presence of chlorine isextracted as a gas containing the pollutants frompolluted soil and a mixture of the gas containing thepollutants and chlorine-containing air is irradiatedwith light to degrade the pollutants, wherein theapparatus comprises a unit for aspirating the gascontaining the pollutants from the polluted soil, achlorine-containing air generation unit for generatingthe chlorine-containing gas, a mixing unit for mixingthe gas containing the pollutants extracted by theaspiration unit and the chorine-containing airgenerated by the chlorine-containing gas generationunit to form a mixed gas, the treatment tank comprisinga treatment region where the mixed gas is introducedand a light irradiation unit for irradiating thetreatment region with light to degrade the pollutantscontained in the mixed gas, and an exhaust unit forexhausting the degradation-treated gas from thetreatment region of the treatment tank.
