摘要

The coherent detection imaging method based on the optical heterodyne detection technique is used to obtain laser computed tomographic images of human teeth in the visible and near-IR regions. The internal structure of teeth can be clearlydifferentiated at different wavelengths. The image contrast is shown to be wavelength dependent. The laser CT images of a tooth with fluids in the pulp chamber and pathological condition also confirm wavelength dependent difference in structure andcontrast.
