摘要

To clarify therneuronal mechanism by which the selective tuning of amplitude modulation (AM) frequency of electric organ discharge (EOD) is made across maps, we propose a microscopic model of basilar pyramidal (bp) cell in electrosensory lateral-line lobe (ELL). We show here that the selective tuning comes from the tuning property of single bp cell and the synchronization of activity among the cells connected with the gap junction between them.
