Human and capital resources in the pultrusion manufacturing facility are most productive when directed at canufacturing efforts. It is often difficult for management to allocate precious processing time to engineering or research activities despite their potential for process improvement. It is, therefore, extremely important to focus the optimization methods employed to the most effective state possible, in order to minimize lost productivity and product scrap, as well as, improve experimental focus.
