As interest in the use of composite materials for bridges and highway infrastructure grows, there is a need to develop methods for applying composites design know-how to the civil engineering world. The development of robust design and analysis techniques, combined with proper validation, is critical to the acceptance of composite materials for civil engineering infrastructure.
