THE STUDY ON A FAST BLOOD VISCOSITY MEASUREMENT INSTRUMENT

Clinical and animal experiments show that for simulation fluid with Newton-fluid property,: the measurement result of fast measurement is approximate to a straight line. When the mean value of viscosity is compared, the difference between fast measurement and the traditional cone method is less than 3 %o. In the out-body blood sample measurement, the results from this method accord very well with those from the traditional methods. These demonstrate that the method is feasible and the accuracy of this instrument is higher that that of the cone method. Compared with traditional methods, the method proposed in the paper has the characteristics of high accuracy, fastness, little damage to blood sample, good repeatability, easy use, reliability, small sample, little outside interference, and ect. It takes less than 5 min. During measurement, blood's flow state is more approximate to the flow in vessel. For all shear rate, the measurement accuracy is up to 3%. Therefore, this method makes progress in measuring blood viscosity under living state.
