摘要

The synthesis and coupling reactions of multiply ethynylated n-complexes are discussed. The organometallic modules are prepared by a metalation/iodination/coupling (MlC)-sequence. The Stille and Hay type reactions of these ethynylated complexes gives rise to novel organometallic objects with unusual topologies, of which some show attractive lyotropic smectic or thermotropic nematic liquid crystalline behavior.
