The invention comprises metal complexed manganese alkylene bisdithiocarbamates in which the complexing metal is one or more of cobalt, copper, iron and zinc. The amount of complexing metal is preferably at least 0.1 parts by weight and not more than 13, 4, 50 and 10 parts by weight of cobalt, copper, iron and zinc, respectively, per 20 parts by weight of manganese. The bisdithiocarbamate is preferably ethylene bisdithiocarbamate (maneb). The complexes are prepared by reacting, in aqueous medium, a water insoluble bisdithiocarbamate with at least one water-soluble salt of cobalt, copper, iron or zinc, at 10 DEG to 50 DEG C.
