An Invesitgation on the Application of D.I. Combustion System without the Introduction of Intake Swirls in Diesel Engines

The introduction of swirls is generally needed for the ordinary D.I. idesel engines, which not only complicates the design and manufacture of the intake passage but also increases the suction resistance and consequently decreases the volumetric efficiency. Furthermore it deteriorates the engine power and the fuel economy.
