A Simple Model for Diesel Spray Implingement on a Flat Wall

摘要

A simple model for diesel spray impingement on a flat wall is presented. This model can calculate normal nad oblique diesel spray-wall impingement, and is applicable to quasi-dimensional diesel combustion models. New equations for wall jet tip penetration are suggesteed which can directly reflect the effect of impinging free jet on wall jet. This model is validated with the published wall jet data, and the accuracy is satisfactory. The effects of the distance from nozzle to wall, wall inclination angle, nozzle hole diameter, and injection pressure on wall jet are predicted.
