COMPARISON OF THERMAL VOLTAGE CONVERTERS BETWEEN NIST AND INTA FROM 0.1 MHz TO 100 MHz

A comparison of ac-dc difference for thermal voltage converters between the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), at Boulder, CO, and Gaithersburg, MD, and the Instituto Nacional de Tecnica Aeroespacial (INTA), Madrid, Spain, has been carried out from 0.1 MHz to 100 MHz. The traveling standards were a commercial thermal voltage converter and a calculable, high frequency ac-dc transfer standard made by the Nederlands Meetinstituut, Van Swinden Laboratory (NMi VSL). The INTA reference is traceable to the National Physical Laboratory, U.K., up to 1 MHz and to NMi VSL above this frequency. The results show a good agreement within the claimed uncertainties of the laboratories over the whole frequency range provided values from the new NMi VSL model, just recently published, are used at 50 MHz and above.
